Harness Horse Racing Tracks In The US

Harness racing is a form of horse-racing in which the horses race in a specified gait. They usually pull two-wheeled carts called sulkies, although races to saddle are still occasionally conducted, especially in Europe.
The harness racing in the US offers several tracks nationwide. The most common harness horse racingtracks are:
- Addington Raceway - Also referred to as "The Met", Addington is situated in Christchurch, Canterbury.
- Balmoral Park - One-mile racetrack located in Crete, Illinois, USA (near Chicago). Live harness racing year-round.
- Batavia Downs - Half-mile racetrack located in Batavia, New York. Live harness racing from July through December.
- Buffalo Raceway - Half-mile racetrack located in Hamburg, New York, USA (Niagara Falls region, outside of Buffalo). Live harness racing from late January through mid-December.
- Cal-Expo - One-mile racetrack located in Sacramento, California, USA (near San Francisco, CA). Live harness racing from April through July and October through December.
- Cambridge Raceway - Racetrack located in Cambridge, hosting about 25 harness meets a season.
- Charlottetown - Half-mile racetrack located in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada (near Halifax, Nova Scotia). Live harness racing from May through December.

- Colonial Downs - One-mile racetrack located in New Kent, Virginia, USA (near Richmond). Live harness racing from October through December.
- Dover Downs - 5/8-mile racetrack located in Dover, Delaware, USA (between Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Washington, DC). Live harness racing from November through April.
- Freehold Raceway - Half-mile racetrack located near Freehold, New Jersey, USA (between New York, NY, and Philadelphia, PA). Live harness racing from August through May.
- Harrington Raceway - Half-mile racetrack located in Harrington, Delaware, USA (near Washington, DC, and Philadelphia, PA). Live harness racing from April through July and from September through November.
- Hazel Park - 5/8-mile racetrack located in Hazel Park, Michigan, USA (outskirts of Detroit). Live harness racing from April through October.
- Hoosier Park - 7/8-mile racetrack located in Anderson, Indiana, USA (near Indianapolis). Live harness racing from April through August. Ladbroke at The Meadows - 5/8-mile racetrack located in Meadow Lands, Pennsylvania, USA (near Pittsburgh). Live harness racing year-round.
- Lebanon Raceway - Half-mile racetrack located in Lebanon, Ohio, USA (near Cincinnati). Live harness racing from September through May.
- Meadowlands Racetrack - One-mile racetrack in Rutherford, New Jersey: includes entries, results, archives, links to webcasts.
- Maywood Park - Half-mile racetrack located in Maywood, Illinois, USA (near Chicago). Live harness racing year-round.
- Monticello Raceway - Half-mile racetrack located in Monticello, New York, USA (near New York). Live harness racing year-round. Northfield Park - Half-mile racetrack located in Northfield Ohio, USA (near Cleveland). Live harness racing year-round.
- Ocean Downs - Half-mile racetrack located in Berlin, Maryland, USA (near Ocean City, and not far from Washington, DC, and Philadelphia, PA). Formerly known as Delmarva Downs. Live harness racing from July through September.

- at Keeneland Race Course in Lexington, Kentucky in 1936;
- at Del Mar Racetrack in the San Diego suburb of Del Mar, California in 1937;
- at Hollywood Park Racetrack in another Los Angeles suburb, Inglewood, California, in 1938.
