A Winning Pick 3 Horse Betting Strategy
As a rule, I suggest that you do not place a horse bet on a horse with odds of 2 to 1 or place an exotic bet. However, I feel that an exception can be made when using this winning pick 3 horse betting startegy. An exception would be if you locate a horse that looks like it has a better than average chance of winning a race, but is going off at low odds. If you do, then I generally suggest that you try to play it as one leg in a pick 3.
The rule in the pick 3 horse race that requires you picking the winner of three consecutive races. It is an exotic bet. I suggest that you use the above exception in one race as long as you have two very contentious races to make up using this winning pick 3 horse betting strategy. For example, in the first leg you key on the favorite whom you like to win. Then, in the second leg you wheel all six horses. And finally in the final leg you key on the four horses that you think are contenders.
On a $2 pick 3 bet, you will cover 24 possible combinations. This winning pick 3 horse betting strategy will, however, cost you $48. However, the fact that you have some long priced horses in your bet will provide a nice payoff if the favorite should happen to falter in either leg of the bet and that is likely to happen.
Using this winning pick 3 horse betting strategy does allow you to take advantage of an opportunity that might have been missed if you only place win bets and limit your bets to horses starting at 2-1 or better. This simple winning pick 3 horse betting strategy has worked well for me when placing a pick 3 bet.
