How to Pick a Winning Horse At The RaceTrack
Why do most horse bettors pick the favorite to win at the racetrack? Only 30% of favorites win. That means 70% must be losers!
Because of this, you should be asking yourself "What Similarities do most of the 30% of winning favorites share and how do I identify them."
A few questions to ask are:
1. How did the horse in the last race that the horse ran? For starters, the majority of winners next time out won there race last time out? Thus, you should study the previous form. Best results are found within favorites that placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd in their last race so be cautious about betting on animals without this previous form.

However, you should now consider when your selected favorite ran last. It may have won its last race, but if this was 3 months ago, then move on to another horse since the best results are found within favorites that raced only four days ago or less.
3. Is the horse that you have selected, being ridden by a Top Jockey?
4. Does it have a successful Trainer?
5. Is the horse you picked to win, also picked by more than 1 reputable horse handicapper?
6. Are their more than 12 runners in the field (making accurate selection more difficult. If possible, make would wager with 6 or less runners in the field. Never more than 9 runners in the field.
7. What does the rest of the field look like? It should be weaker. If not, then use the place betting system. This has been a money making sytem for me.
8. Avoid placing a bet on your favorite when the field is "Soft or Heavy" or if the other horses your selected race have no form (first time out with no previous race results).
The professional horse bettor will answer the above questions and will learn from as many sources as possible before placing a bet. If you want to join them and be a winner, you must be disciplined and systematic. By following the above tips, you will be a winner even though you may only find several bets a month using the above advice, however, you will make up for that by winning your bets!
