Study These Handicapping Tips On How to Truly Make Money Playing the Thoroughbreds
Tip #1. - Identify the Pace Matchup for each and every field.
You should be able to identify the running style for each horse in the field. There are 4 distinct running styles.
1. Early speed type that wants and needs the lead - EARLY.
2. Early presser that can either go on top or sit
1 to 3 lengths off the pace - EARLY PRESSER.
3. Presser that doesn't want the lead, but stays in
contact with the field, usually running 4 to 6 lengths
back - LAY BACK.
4. Sustained run closer that likes to run way off the
pace and make a late rally - SUSTAINER.
By knowing and determining which running styles will have the advantage in any
matchup will increase your chances of winning.
Tip #2. - Know which running styles are best suited for which kinds of races.
Tip #3. - To make money at horse betting, you need to know when to pass.
Tip #4. - To make money at horse betting, you need to know how to wager.
Tip #5. - If you want to be a winner, you need to make only value plays.
Remember, value is a payoff of greater odds than your morning line odds.
Tip #6. - You need an approach to handicapping that is consistent and proven to work. I use "How $15 Safely Makes $157.28" to win most of my bets!http://22c11r4t9rb-6z2cx9i9tq0m0w.hop.clickbank.net/
Tip #7. - Understand the relationship among morning line odds, projected odds and post time odds and you will be able to instantly spot a value play.
Tip #8. - Know why the favorites lose 67% of the time.
Tip #9. - Determine which horses are the true contenders in the field. You must be able to "whittle" down every field to a maximum of 3 or 4 contenders. If you cann not, it is an immediate no-play situation.
Tip #10. - Determine which horses are the pretenders of any matchup.
Tip #11. - Know when a horse is properly conditioned to run his best race
today.
Tip #12. - True horse bettors know how to properly use the Beyer speed figures that can be located in the Daily Racing Form or online.
Tip #13. - Know what the "bounce" theory is and when it pertains to a
horse in the field. Bounce theory basically says that after a horse runs a race with a dramatically higher speed figure than he has ever run before he will bounce in his next race and revert back to his previous form.
a. a few meaningful tips of when it should and shouldn't work:
1. cheap horses more likely to bounce than class horses.
2. horses given plenty of time off before next race less likely to bounce.
3. horses which were all out to win more likely to bounce than horses who won easily.
4. 3 year old less likely to bounce than older horses.
5. Horses that have a spotty workout record comming off a layoff are more likely to bounce in second effort.
6. no bounce on synthetic tracks.
Tip #14. - Is the horse dropping in class.
Tip #15. - Know and understand turn times - If a horse accelerates (increasing turn time from previous races)in the second fraction this is almost always a sign of a horse rounding into form. Irregardless of whether this horse was gaining ground or not is the fact that his turn time was faster is the key
Tip #16. - The condition of the track and/turf racing vs. dirt racing - 2 different games, and you have to know how to play each, the right way, in order to win.
Tip #17. - The winning horse bettor is able to identify false favorites and other underlays.
